Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how bla5k uses cookies and similar technologies, why we use them, and how you can control or withdraw your consent — in line with the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) and the ePrivacy Directive.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, and — where you consent — understand how the site is used. Some storage happens through similar technologies such as localStorage.

Consent

When you first visit bla5k, a consent banner asks you to choose how we may use cookies. You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or adjust your choice at any time by clearing the site's storage in your browser. Your choice is remembered for future visits, and you can change it at any time.

Cookies we use

1. Strictly necessary

These are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. bla5k is a static directory and has very few of these — mainly preferences stored locally so we remember your consent choice and your directory search state.

2. Analytics (optional)

We use two analytics tools, both loaded only after you accept:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless service that aggregates page views, referrers, and approximate country-level traffic without identifiers. If you reject analytics, the beacon is disabled for you.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — used to understand how the Site is found and used. GA4 uses cookies and may collect device and usage data processed by Google. It is never loaded unless you accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

3. Advertising (optional)

We may display advertising through Google AdSense. If and when ads are enabled, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits, including personalized ads. These cookies are only loaded after you give consent. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at aboutads.info.

How to manage or delete cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

You can also use your browser's private/incognito mode, or install an ad-blocker or privacy extension to limit cookies across sites.

Your rights under GDPR

  • The right to withdraw consent at any time.
  • The right to access the data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), and portability.
  • The right to object to processing, and to restrict it.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page. We respond to valid requests promptly, usually within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
